despite looking for a cinq sporting or a panda, i kinda accidently on purpose bought a faded yellow t-5r 850 volvo last week..my second t5 and a car iv always wanted..HAD to be a yellow, manual saloon, the one with the graphite grey wheels, one of 63 yellow cars for the uk market it came up locally and i jsut had to buy it..i know i wont have it long, itch scratched and all, but its another one iv ticked off the list....just houghtn id share it with you..il get some pics

Fancy one of these myself, well, it's on my list anyway

Something about such a big car that goes that quick, which appeals to me. A yellow or perhaps one of those metallic orange ones with the proper anthracite alloys would be great. Have heard of issues with the electrics and not sure about running costs, but they're so cheap for what they are, I'd be tempted to take a punt myself :)

..and its gone to a new home..champagne taste, coca cola pockets...needed that 25mpg like a hole in the head, search goes on for a panda or cinq sporty....

..but not for a 2.9 vr6 converted mk2 golf gti..oh no, wouldnt want one of those now would i....so WHY is there one outside my house....and a set of keys for it on my keyring..haha....absolutley ballistic wee car, GOES thru all the gears..and gets about 26mpg haha so much better than volvo

actually fuel is really good on this wee rocket, must be the lightweight

it is more nose heavy than my favourite golf, the mk2 16v gti, but with the power steering its not that noticeable. does lose the crisper turn in and tends to understeer a wee bit more, but nothing disastrous. its a big, unstressed engine in a small light car so as happy to trundle in 5th at low revs as it is to headbut the redline in the lower gears...vmax independantly verifed at just over 150mph haha...dont ask....runs 14.4 sec quarters, which as my mate pointed out is uno turbo time haha, just to burst my bubble....great fun, looks box standard so great sleeper

Sounds entertaining but also rather refined. Seems like the best of both worlds :)

Watched a Clarkson vid from some years ago with a mk3 fettled by Dubsport. Had two of the vr6s, one mid-mounted and both supercharged...mental but also kind of cool of course. Whenever I think of engine conversions on Golfs, that tends to be the one I always remember for some reason

sounds awesome! When I was into dubs in the late 90's this would have been the ultimate cars. Then I found Fiat's :) whilst av had a couple of non-fiats (Skoda vRS & VX embarrassment) I've returned to my favourite marque. Am sure you'll return to the fold soon

ideally i want a cinq sporting , iv posted a wanted ad and everything..gotta have an itlain for hopetoun and craigton!!...got a bid on a 166 v6 alfa at the minute but really need a 40 mpg supermini with a fiat badge on its snout!!
