Happy Friday folks. What's the plans?

Off to Aberdeen's best Chinese restaurant later for a leaving do. Apparently it's got the most authentic menu in town and as the person leaving is Chinese we're trusting him to choose what we're eating

Tomorrow is a quiet day and then I leave for Budapest on Sunday

There was no chicken feet soup so very disappointed. Steamed fish was very good though

Bumpity bump.

Tis the weekend again (well it is for me) so what's everyone's plans?

I have my sister's elderly blind labrador staying with me for the next few days as they're moving house so it's going to be fairly quiet thankfully. I'm considering getting my winter wheels put on the car either today or tomorrow even though it's not cold enough yet but I'm happier bumping over potholes in the dark with the scabby steel wheels rather than the alloys.

Tomorrow I'm off to Haddo House for their annual Christmas Fayre - I have no idea why it's held at the start of November but it is

Last weekend of working...
Home in 7 days...

WOOHOO

Christmas Fayre was disappointing with far too many stalls selling tartan tat. If it wasn't for the annual visit to Scots' Cheer I probably wouldn't bother at all. Plus this year I had orders from my sister and a friend who couldn't make it along.

I waited until it was quiet though before sidling up to the stall holder and ordering 3 large bottles of Brammle and 2 large bottles of Damson Gin and hoping to avoid the inevitable comments about enjoying a drink or two. It didn't work. Just as I placed the order an old school friend tapped me on the shoulder and commented about a party at my house

Haha well I'm working but it's being quite so not doing much plus side is my rear camber plates arrived for the car so they are getting fitted Tuesday evening still need to get the car mot'd that's hopefully Wednesdays job before Kevin bridges that evening

First weekend in ages when I don't have to travel somewhere so it's going to be a case of catching up on jobs that have gone by the wayside. Definitely need to pay a visit to the family at some point or else I'll start getting phone calls asking if I'm still alive. Might even put the Xmas tree up if I can be bothered

Pizza, wine and Prison Break tonight - lovely :)

Damn, forgot I have to do a trip in to town tomorrow to get a friend's birthday present but that will be an hour tops as I know what exactly where I'm going and what I'm getting

Your Xmas present is having a working car again

Tree is up. Took bloody ages too ;)

Working in almost 40°c heat with full PPE on...

I think i was told it was "living the dream"?

One side i would be happy to lose if my job was redundant

Sounds like my idea of hell! I'm dreading a trip in to Aberdeen because it will be rammed with people but even that sounds bearable now compared with what you're putting up with so cheers for that

Yeah, its their summertime here, dry, hot and dusty from sahara dust being blown south.

On the plus side, we were allowed to finish early today so had a few games of squash and off to the pool.

can't be arsed to start a new thread so I'll just bump this one :D

It's the weekend again folks so what's everyone's plans?

I'll be spending tomorrow with my head in the books turning my brain to mush and then on Sunday i get a break with the chippy run
