Right, not been overly active on here as of recent as I've been trying to get a photo gallery made for my pictures that I've taken so family can see them without me having to **** about on facebook, It'll be easier with my site with a basic cron job to check for new pictures by looking in directories. Currently its a basic, bland design, what do you guys think?

It will become more colourful and more functional later when I start to include PHP and more javascript into the mix.

Photogallery

All comments and criticisms welcomed :)

Update:

04/08/13
1) There is now a new album you can select, just click on "SAMPLES" at the left and you can choose any album thats available.
2) Whenever you mouse over the image at either side, you can click to see the next or previous image (should help Harper :) )

To be honest the site is still too early in its construction to give proper feedback. The only thing I can think of for now is giving your viewers control of the slide show speed but I'm sure that's already in your plans :)

will it be a publicly viewed website or will it only be friends and family that can access it? Personally I'd be concerned about privacy especially as you've kids and number plates on there.

Are none of the existing photo websites any good for your purpose or is it more the website building your into?

Its sites that I enjoy building. And the kid on that site is my son :)

Right folks, after a couple of months, I now have the site a little better, No slideshow as of yet, but thats in the pipeline. I have a massive 8! pictures online just now, with more to obviously come :)

EDIT: Make that 10 photos :)

No comments or criticisms? If you want, you can play with the user "test" with the pass "test". Nothing new as yet though.

Navigation for the rest of the site is next to come :)

Not sure what you mean by navigation but you could certainly do with arrows to flick between the pictures. I know you can just click on the photos but arrows would give control to the user of how long they view the photos if they don't want to use the slideshow. Just my thoughts

Everything is still on the todo list yet so, aslong as it all functions correctly so far. No point on continuing to find out later that there is a bug somewhere :)

Pretty cool site. Definitely reinventing the wheel but nothing wrong with that if you are having fun doing it!

Its not really, I have 1000GB of space on that server, so I can host all my pictures I've taken on it, and all in one place :)

But with photobucket, I can't upload EVERY picture due to lack of space, like I said, I get 1000GB (AKA 1TB) of free space on the server and only $5 (About £3) a month if I want unlimited... Go figure...

Thats pretty decent. Thinking of making a new site myself but going to with one of the templates you get on the like of Wix due to pure laziness.
