Steve119 And I hope f1 cars are banned lol ;) Seriously though maybe there should be ground rules??

I was just gonna blast in with the Formula Gran Turismo car I got as well :D I think some rules could be set down but not sure if they'd be adhered to

Is there a way to invite people with restrictions on car? I know the original forza could do it, surely GT can too.

Maybe start with unmodded 86GT '12 motors since we all got em, unless there is a better way to get variety but similarly tuned etc

From a quick free run Martyn and I just had, I just set up a room and you can go from there setting restrictions, track, number of players and such. Couldn't see any invite option at a glance but I'm sure it must be there somewhere. Biggest issue for me with that free practice was deciding which car to go, so I think your idea of going with a standard 86GT could well be the best option. Well, I may do a few visual mods though ;)

Haven't changed the look of any of my cars, just a few tuning mods an that's it. Really need something decent for the lightweight cup, can only get a honda today g? even tuned it's utter **** an a total waste of money :(

Can't remember what I used for that, shall need to investigate. May well have sold it in disgust after I'd completed that particular section lol

Couldn't resist modding that 86GT btw. Only some aero parts, colour, wheels and a carbon bonnet, looks rather tasty now :D New thing as well, even with the new cars changing the oil adds extra bhp - Got a Murci SV and it gave almost 30hp extra for the 250 odd credits, which is nice

now have a kei works from the second hand place, kicking ass so the tomorrow g will be gone asap. PSN won't log in, dammed wifi being shared to thinly in this house i think lol

I binned my '86 and took a Scooby WRX instead. Always served me well, modded, in the original.

Add to that a modded Civic I was given for winning a championship plus a subtly modded Mini cooper S.

Why don't wee aim for say 100,000 credits each and then pick a suitable, fun, motor?

hmmm, a gt5 top gear esque cheap car challenge? sounds fun! :)

are we allowed mods as long as the budget doesnt exceed 100,000cr?

That was the general idea. Martyn and I were bouncing ideas last night and say 50,000 cr for the car as a limit and then the remains for modding. Anything under the 50k of course you can add to the mods :)

Saw a good few cars that would be worthy of it. Started with a 300zx but kind of went overboard on the mods a bit  Looks a beast though, shall most certainly show it off at some point :) Offhand, Evo 6/9, RX7, Silvia (S13-S15) and of course Mazda MX5s seem to be good options. Was waiting for a 22b to appear in my used section but no luck. Was sorely tempted by a Corvette Grand Sport but JDM always seems like a better tuning/quick point to point option :) Course you could just get a K-car and shock everyone

Av an s14 that should qualify, never seem to have much over 100k cr so blowing it on one car would suck.

Most nights after 8 should be good for me. Is there chat on psn?

Can send messages within GT5 or just on the PSN itself. Still a bit sketchy on the whole online set up as I've only briefly popped into some online games over the time I've owned the game. Played the Prologue one a lot more online but that was a bit more chaotic and random in the way it assigned players to one another.

Would be cool to make it a regular thing, yeah. May well be on later on tonight for a quick blast so at the very least we could have a free run practice session or two :) I think as well, consideration can be given to those having just started the game in terms of making credits and such. I remember how challenging that was and some of the p-poor cars you'd have to put up with competing in to progress.
