Tuning box arrived today from www.tdi-tuning.co.uk. It will be going onto the warrior for a couple reasons...

The reason I told the wife: to aid the fuel consumption so its as economical as possible to save us money.

True reason: more bhp and torque (insert jezzer smile here) to help with towing etc.

Ha ha the old "It's for better Fuel Economy" lie.

Goodun

To be fair it's not really a lie, they genuinely can boost economy (usually just because of the increased torque meaning you spend less time on the throttle to get up to speed).

It's more "not being totally honest about the full reasons"

I went down the route of a remap rather than a box, purely because of figures, not noticed any change in fuel economy, but plenty more oomph when I want it

Well plugged it in, and on the medium setting it's got a good bit more oomph and the fuel economy is shooting up, although its now magnified a problem that was there before. You would be driving along and all of a sudden the truck will go into limp mode until you turn it off and back on again, it had only done this a couple times since i bought it. Now the tuning box is in, it has done it twice in the one journey its had. Bloody cars...

Tuning box is on too high of setting , try it on the Low boreing settng and see if it still dose it , , if ti dose id contact TDI and they might be able to sort something out for you ,be changing a few setting in the box

It was doing it before i bought the box, so it's the truck, not the mod.

Yeah i think i have it narrowed down to either the egr or the boost sensor, this tuning box plugs into the fuel rail and boost sensor so would make sense it magnifying the issue if it was directly involved, and egr's are just a **** in general lol
