The site car desperately needs a name therefore it's time to put your thinking caps on. Suggestions so far include

Hickup (half a pick-up) from Malfunction
Ratbag from Venters
Fiasco (FIAt SCOtland) from Boydie
seipickup or pick jr from Pete Smith
mobile commode from Saw
Brum from lewisp
XSES from m5haw
sessles from jatkinson
Pinky from Stuart

Can you do any better?

All suggestions must be posted before Saturday's fix-it meet where a short-list will be chosen. After that I'll set up a poll for everyone to choose their favourite

Another nomination from Ryan

The car should be called Monty :D

And my suggestion is Ava. Two reason's behind this

1) First tune played in the car under FS ownership was Frontier Psychiatrist by The Avalanches
2) You may 'Ava laugh at it now but wait until we're finished (something I've said to several colleagues since Monday)

i like Fiasco, it's both clever and somehow fitting

Have to agree. A rather apt name!

Whilst I agree it's a great name I hope it's only fitting and apt in its past state. Perhaps what we need is an anagram of something looking to the future

Fiat Scotland revives abused seicento
Fiat Scotland 10 years strong
Fiat Scotland **** hot car

Or something like that

It's a cento, the next Fiasco is always on the way ;)

Y'know I've tried for much of the morning to think of a convincing argument to this and have failed

with a well looked after cento , there is no supprises to come ;P

Well except that one ^^^

Yeah.... The only people who believe that haven't owned one

Damn!

I'll be drawing up the shortlist of names for the site car tomorrow morning at 10 am. Anything after that won't be considered so if you have a nomination post now or forget it ;p

How many times has it gone off the road again? Head gasket last time, was it not? Was there also not a driveshaft issue? How about the time when both your headlights failed at once? ;)

I'm not getting at you, i'm saying they are old cars and aren't the sturdiest. Even well maintained, things break, as with all old cars. Especially old italians.

You know fine well what i'm saying is as a joke, but i'm taking the last part as a dig at mine tbh, if it is then i'll just laugh it off, because i know the work on it was good and done properly, unlike how most of the previous work on it appeared. its failures were part failures, some just age and use, a few bodged in from the last owner. nothing i actually installed parts wise broke without reason :)

my hg went on my old engine , , then repaired it , took it off the road to put the 1,2 in and do a big overhaul in it ,, and no that last bit was not a dig at you just saying that i do my owe work and servince it ect myself

fair enough, just saying you own 2 so know what you're talking about never came across that way, i've owned 3 and have more or less had a cento at all times since i started driving, the only time i never was 3 months when i had the focus (bought the sei later whilst i had that and ran both), then another 3 months when i had the punto hgt, been driving 6 years and had centos 5 and a half of that, kinda know what i'm talking about too when i say they have their issues regardless of how well they are maintained, things break :)
