PS: now you are not the only one

hi 1.7d pick up truck. Got it off ebay £400 M reg with 65,000miles. Have to say it the best vehicle I have owned (well next to my BMW 325i cab 1990) cheers chris.

Just got hold of an r reg fiorino TD. 123 thou on the clock. Still gives a bit of a kick with the turbo. Great economy lovely little motor , apart from the brakes ( needs to be sorted ) and the steering is heavy?
P.s Can anyone recommend a repair manual ,for the fiorino, apart from the Haynes manual?

Had mine for nearly 7 years. I was doing 300 miles a week without any major worries for quite a while so managed to rack up 146,000 miles. Just about to procure another one too!

Best van i've ever had and biggest in its class if i'm not too much mistaken? In the past we've managed to transport 2 motorbikes PLUS 2 weeks camping gear to the north of scotland. The fact 2 bikes fit in on the first place (one in the back the other on a towbar mounted rack) is ace but plus 3 people and the gear and still cruising at 70-75 is pretty good going in my book.

Hi, Great vans, mine has 50k on the clock ,1999 1700TD bought from ebay for £850 nearly two years ago. A great workhorse. there are quite afew in Cornwall.(y)

I bought my fiorino panel (1500 i.e. gasoline) since 1996 from Fiat dealer. Today: 63,400 Km and I'm very happy with it.

(y) Yes I've got a 1990, 1300 petrol Fiorino! Its done 93000 miles now, and just passed its Mot.

When I bought it, back in October, 2006, I wondered if I'd bought a complete wreck, because it had a very knackered Brazilian Weber carb. To say that the engine ran erratically would be an understatement, with a fuel consumption that wouldn't shame a Chevy. I fitted it with a Spanish Weber off a Strada, but it was far from a straight swap, as there are loads of minor differences on the later carbs.

The performance was transformed, and I rather like driving it now. With its low rock hard suspension, its rather like driving an oversized rollerskate! The performance is very lively for a small van too.

I reckon I'll keep it for a while, now its sorted!

Hi Chris,
I have a 1997 1.7D Fiorino. It has done only 40k and drives very well although I only get app 45mpg. Only owned it since Christmas and am getting full service and tune which I hope will improve this a little.

no its not a fiat, its a ford.. and a ford transit at that ...228,000 miles ...2000 of them with a blown head gasket

Bought a Fiorino 1.7D wheelchair accessible van a couple of months ago. Regret, no high mileage - P reg and only 44,000 on clock! Good old comfortable bus, a few annoying things like rusted doors and now the back door lock has packed up. Need to find a good Fiat breaker near Chelmsford, Essex to get her back to her former glory. Fiat dealers very unhelpful and expensive - cos she's not one of their posh new models! We love her. She is called 'Squeaky' (co's she squeaks of course!) She is also known in the family as 'The Pope Mobile'. Have recently made blue gingham curtains for her (sorry.....!!!)

Mine is a 1.7TD (R Reg) with 43700 miles on the clock. It has been converted for wheelchair access & has also been "christened" the Pope Mobile by people at my work, it doesn`t have curtains though !!
It is currently off the road with starting problems which I have posted elsewhere, will hopefully have it back on the road soon once I get some replies.

PS I have seen one more in my area since I`ve had mine.
