Technical Battery size

Can Someone confirm the correct size and rating
The one currently fitted is I believe to be wrong as the the strap that holds the battery down is slack so the battery is not tall enough

It would be REALLY useful if you told us:
A. What engine your van has
B. What battery is currenly fitted, ideally the code, 063, 096 etc.

If the battery wors OK You could use a wooben block to take up the gap. If you do so make sure it extends across the whole width (or length) oft he top of the battery.

Hi, I use and have used Banner Batteries for years, found them to be great, Google Banner Batteries, open their own website, and go through the system to find your particular vehicle, the info they then display gives all kinds of info, including the physical size.............hope that helps a bit. Cheers Qube O.

Hi
Can someone please have a measure of there battery
It says the correct hight is 175mm high which I have already but as I said the strap that holds the battery down is really loose it must be 190mm high to be right but it's not according to the size listed

Is it actually the strap that holds the battery, or the metal plate which bolts down?
On Pandas the plate holds the battery, and the strap is a secondary restraint.

It's the strap that wraps over the battery
The strap is attached on the bottom of the tray, wraps over the top of the battery and is bolted down the opposite side
There is a metal plate attached to the strap but is purely for the strap and is not a battery clamp

Here is the tray and strap

There is nothing wrong with using a block of wood as Robert suggests.

Strangely on the multipla the strap appears to be there to stop anyone losing the battery hold down clamp which is attached to the end of the strap-fine idea fiat(-:

I just need the correct size for the battery
I simply need a Fiorino owner to get a tape measure and clarify the size I need
Bits of b****y wood isn't the solution the correct size battery is - its as simple as that!
