Hello guys, this is my first post on this Forum, so warm welcome to everyone.

I have Peugeot Bipper ( almost Fiat :D ) 1.3 Multijet with DPF 45k miles Manual, 67 plate

The problem is that when engine is cold ( first drive in the morning ) on 4th gear ONLY between 1500 and 2000 RPM and with steady throttle my van is juddering and driving like kangaroo. After 30 minutes of driving all is going back to normal. If I press the throttle or reduce power or change gear everything is going to normal too, so the problem exist ONLY on steady throttle. A few days ago I also noticed that van start juddering on 3rd gear during acceleration when cold at passing 2000 RPM. :bang:

When hot, all is smooth and perfect

Any ideas ? I suspect injectors but you have more experience with this engines so maybe it is something else.....
btw no fault codes or light present

many many thanks,
cheeers !

Circumstantial..

Rpm is the same as slower in 3rg gear.. just different load
(It isnt really pulling below 1500)

If it was a 4th gear problem.. why would it go once warm

What kind of servicing has it seen ?

Are all the necessary software resets taking place??

why would it go once warm  I have no clue that`s why I ask :D

this van is relatively new, first owner done 20k miles service ( well, I hope so... ) , I changed all filters and oil ( high quality MANN filters and Castrol oil ) When I bought my van it was "CHECK GLOW PLUG" message and no3 glow plug fault code was present but I replaced all 4 glow plugs in the dealer garage, so OEM plugs fitted

btw fuel filter was black and looks very dirty, also it was a lot of debris in the fuel filter can so that`s why I suspect injectors

also, when on idle, on diagnostic computer on "injector quantity correction" menu three injectors was showing something round -0.22 but one was +1 :(

Sounds like a badly serviced engine to me these are the issues you would expect on a 100k engine
Luigi

Hi mate, (btw I really like yours Fiorino, looks awesome (y))

there is only one issue with this juddering, everything else is ok, no fault codes, engine is dynamic and start well. Glow plugs are not a problem anymore, next week I will replace timing chain, just as precaution.

In your opinion, Luigi, what the reason may be ? I got 4 primary suspect, Injector / ERG Valve / Flow meter / Turbine.

btw, DPF is only used in 12% I also done carbon cleaning with hydrogen last week, but this does not work ( cost £144, wasted money )

I`ve done oil check myself and reset is not done because I have no access to diagnostic tool at the moment. But this is not an issue because juddering was before and after oil change

Hi
I have always had a flutter around 2000revs but I've herd this is common
It will only do it in 5th gear when just touching the gas pedal i just change down and then back into 5th and it goes away, its done this from nearly new and its an ECU issue to do with fuelling I've been told....I just learn to live with it

I had to replace copper injector seal washers recently and I gave the injector tips a gentle cleaning with some brake cleaner. When I first took them out you couldn't see the tiny spray holes, after soaking the tip in some cleaner and giving it a rub with some tissue (not anything hard as the holes are very precise) I could at least see the holes. Noticeable difference in power and smoothness, but this was probably due to the injector leaking (chuffing) before. It's not the hardest job in the world to do as long as your injectors aren't carbonised and seized like mine were. Even then it wasn't that hard.

As in my previous post's regarding my engine i now have a fully rebuilt engine and is now as new and my flutter at 2000 revs is still there so my fault is deffo ecu
A remap will sort this out ive been told by the remap guy!

I got mine remapped in Sheffield for £140. He had done it to his dads identical euro5 Qubo so he knew the map worked, (first map he applied was for different model (euro4?) and it completely cut the engine at high revs, he then applied the same map he had on his car and it worked fine). Might be worth a go incase it does fix the judder, and worse case you will have a more powerful car.

Hi
There have been a few posts regarding the Euro 4 engine flutter
It's down to low engine revs and the fuel delivery as the ecu is trying to hard to get max fuel economy although saying that that could be down to maff although not showing as faulty but since ive fitted the cone filter the flutter (so far) has not happend
It's mainly 40mph in 5th gear it used to happen
Any way I'm keeping an eye on this and mpg, but I checked the mpg today and its 2mpg higher so getting 54 to the gallon, I recon that's just over 500 miles on a full tank.... I think[emoji848]

Hi all , as 2668 Griffin stated ( 5th gear @ 40mph ) juddering , I've been having that for years but I've learned to live with it ( change a gear down or accelerate ) , it seems like thoses little engines don't like it .mainly @ 2000 rpm or less , I'm not sure about a remap will sort it though .

Can you post a pic of the pod filter .
