Hello o knowledgeable ones, I’ve got a fiorino van, it’s 2011, 1.3 multi jet engine. However the chain broke and the engine is now wrecked, even though I had it towed home. My local garage say the big N has gone (whatever that means), but he’s found a second hand engine from a scrap dealer which will fit. However it’s from a fiat 500, somy question is, will the fiat 500 fit a fiat fiorino van?

Thank you ? that’s a relief! Hoping it’s a straight forward job to just pop the new one in and no further problems... engine is costing me £700 and the garage is charging around £1300 - does that sound about right?

Hi
Is that £1300 inc the engine?
I have known these to be changed in just over a day
Just make sure you get a guarantee, and try and insist on the mileage of the new engine, this can be got of the 500's ecu
Find out things like engine number
also there are two power outputs 75 and 95 the 95 is obviously going to give you more power

No it’ll be £2,150 in total or thereabouts. They’ve had my van for about 6 weeks, busy garage...thanks for adding the extra bits to check, I’ll contact them in the morning.
