Liking Fiats I got the mrs a fiorino a couple of years back, its a 15 plate.

The other night on the way home form work the ABS , ASR Off and the brake ! symbol all came on.
It was exceptionally heavy rain that night.
I stopped the car & restarted it & the lights all cleared.

I tried to connect with my Elm327 module & multiecu scan, it connects to the engine & body systems but will not connect to the Abs module, multiecuscan (4.3) says 'unsupported protocol, Abs Id ISO EC072900FE.

Any ideas?, could this be a wheel sensor, or something totally different, or something hanging the canbus.
What do I need to 'talk' to the Abs module to go further.
Edit: we had the o/s wing and splashguard replaced a few days ago, possibly damaged the wheelspeed sensor.

Ok I get that and of course software can be outdated.
I downloaded & updated mes yesterday though and it still doesnt work.
Surely a 3 year old vehicle is covered by now.

Ok.

Well that SHOULD have been enough..

So.
When you 'scan for devices'

Does it list ALL of the kit you KNOW is fitted.. and with sensible programming : build dates?

I have seen other models having similar warnings on the Forum..

The actual brake light switch has been a fix for some.

Yes, I can see all the modules I'd expect including the Abs after a scan, but when it finds the Abs it says unsupported protocol, the dates seem sensible.

The brake light switch isnt something I thought of, but of course the Abs system will have that as an i/p, I guess if the brakes come on and the lights are not on the system wont be right happy, I ownder if that sets a pressure sensor code or something like that.
I wouldnt have thought 30k miles would have worn it out, but I'll have a look at it and its wiring.
I had a berlingo that had a silly push in brake light switch that was a pain to get right.

Checked the brake light switch & fuse, wiring & contact fitment is fine.
The fault hasnt come back.
I think I'll have to pull the ineer wing if it does it again, I hate just guessing at stuff but I've no choice this time.
