I’ve just done an oil & filter change on my Fiorino, however I’m now struggling to reset the service counter & DPF counter with Multiecuscan and hope someone can help.

I select my Model/Version as “Fiorino ‘07 1.3 Multijet” (the only other option for the Fiorino is 1.4 8V)

Then I select “Service” & “Service Interval Reset” and press connect.

The screen says “connect adapter 3/yellow” I press Y

Screen then says “Connection Failed ELM327 -> ECU Connection failed
CAN bus error. Check if interface is properly connected to vehicle and correct vehicle/module selected”

I’m using an ELM 327 Interface v1.4 which is supposed to be Canbus compatible and work with Fiat vehicles so I’m a bit baffled about why it won’t work. I tried using the Qubo 1.3 multijet option but had the same result. Any help or advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think I may have found a solution. I guess I just found out that the yellow cable refers to a cable with a yellow plug that goes between the interface and the OBD port on the van. I guess if I buy one of these it will work?

Also I think the service interval reset doesn’t work anyway on the free version so it looks like I’ll have to buy the registered version.

I tried “scan” and it does appear to be communicating with the ecu but I get the error message if I try to select any options of the menus. I’ve sussed out that the free version I have won’t do what I want anyway so I’ll have to get a license. I’ve ordered a yellow cable so I’m waiting for that to come before I buy a licence code.

Fortunately I should have another 4,000 miles or so left before the flashing oil pressure light appears so I have a bit of time on my side to sort it.
