Had my van broken into yesterday evening and am astounded how easy it is. Cctv shows the thieving b’stard take about 30 seconds to get the back door open with a screwdriver. Really poor security. I’ve bought proper locks that need drilling to the doors which is a shame but better than having tools nicked.

I’ve come up with a cheap and easy way to protect the back door lock. Remove door card to expose locking mechanism and fit a piece of timber directly beneath the mechanism. This will prevent the screwdriver that has been hammered through the bottom of the handle suround from operating the lock. Still can’t believe how easy it is to get into these vehicles.

They fit between exterior door handle and bodywork.
