Hi My 2012 14500 miles Fiat Fiorino has a issue with the the stop start. I drive up to a mile or two then the warning triangle comes on and it says "stop start not available" this happens even if I switch it off before I set off. It has only worked once when I had a long trip into Yorkshire about 180 miles at the end of January. I live in the countryside so the minimum mileage I might do on a trip is 15 miles at a average 55-60 mph. I had the battery replaced at the beginning of January when this fault occurred. My local garage (non Fiat) when it went for the engine temperature sensor replacing can not find any fault. I am loathed to take it to a Fiat garage because it is a 60 mile round trip and they might not be able to find the cause. It is frustrating when this happens because I only have the time on the instrument display and not the mileage. My engine is the 1.3 multijet diesel 95bhp. I am finding that some parts for this engine are only available from Fiat ie the engine temperature sensor cost £202.50 plus fitting. If it had been the 75bhp engine the garage could have got one for £40!! Anyway can any one help with the stop start issue?
