Technical Flashing milometer

Mine did the same a few weeks ago....annoyingly dropped into the dealer who said they couldnt find an issue & return if it happened again

up to now fingers crossed it's not happened....but if it does return i'll update

Its a problem with the CANBus network, its either noticed a node which shouldn't be there, or a node which should be is missing.

Node = other computer / ECU iirc.

A proxi alignment should sort the issue, I've had it once or twice on every Fiat I've owned, normally only a blip and sorts it self with a restart. Only really worth going to dealer over if its doing it once in a blue moon.

If you've a registered version of FiatECUscan or MultiECUscan you can complete a proxi alignment to resolve the issue yourself (y)

Thanks for the reply.
I have no scan equipment, so i'll see how it goes, it's done it about five times in 9 months.........dealer?

I think it's down to preference personally. Is it still under warrantee

If not I personally probably wouldn't bother with it happening at that rate. It's more an irritation than causing damage / serious issues if that makes sense.

Of you come along to one of the Eastern Italia meets next time we're over your way I can bring my registered version of MES to plug in if you want?

Personally I think you should be in the Qubo section instead of seclusion in the fiorino section, as basically you have the same vehicle as us just no side winows at the rear or rear seats. And besides it seems a bit lonely in the fiorino section, think it was a bit harsh myself.

The sections are being discussed here:

https://www.fiatforum.com/site-ideas/315961-change-fiorino-section.html

It is hard to keep up with all the changes FIAT make to the models, especially when there are crossovers.

How was I supposed to know the OP had a MK3 and not a MK1 or MK2 Fiorino? Am I supposed to review the post history before I move threads out of sections? It wasn't meant to be a 'harsh' decision ... it made 100% sense at the point in time.

:)

THANKS FOR YOU REPLY(y)
I DO FEEL ON MY OWN HERE IN THIS SECTION,I HAVE MORE IN COMMON WITH QUBO OWNERS, I DON'T GET MUCH RESPONSE IN THE FIORINO SECTION AS THERE AR'NT MANY FIORINO MK3 OWNERS, ALL YOU SEE ARE NEMO'S AND BIPPER'S ON THE ROAD.
AT THE END OF THE DAY A QUBO IS A VAN TRYING TO BE A CAR!
AS I'VE SAID BEFORE MINE IS LOADED WITH THE SAME GOODIES,MINUS THE FACT I HAVEN'T GOT REAR GLASS AND A O/S SLIDING DOOR,AND TO BE FARE THE TWO REAR DOORS ARE BETTER THAN A ONE-PIECE.
PLEASE MODERATORS RECONSIDER AND PUT ME IN THE BEST PLACE---I N T H E Q U B O S E C T I O N (y)
PS
ANY QUBO OWNERS OUT THERE SUPPORT ME?
LUIGI

Hi

I hope you do get moved back to the Qubo section. I love my one piece tailgate, as a gardener I sit under it to change my muddy boots when its raining.

I have looked at the posts in the Fiorino section and it does seem as you are pretty much on your own as a 2008 onwards Fiorino owner.

I see loads of Fiorino vans here in Beds, loads of motor parts suppliers use them.

Take care

Theres no need for anyone to get upset, It would be nice if there was a dedicated Fiorino section but at the mo there are not enough. I remember how bad it was when I first posted in the Qubo section as there were not enough members, but I persevered.

No offence meant to anyone.

Better late than never! Don't get on here often! Just turned 188,000miles in my Fiorino (mk3) and have had the odd flashing milometer throughout its life thus far! It always resets when the ignition turned off then back on! Perhaps I'm just a bit too eager to get going sometimes!!:)

Or perhaps it needs a proxi alignment to prevent it from happening again ;). Switching it off and on isn't an ideal fix although it will sometimes work temporarily.
