when its cold it goes great, long journeys on motorways it goes great, around town on short journeys no problem either.
However if I drive on a longish journey with a lot of stop starting after about 30 miles its gets sluggish and doesnt feel as if the turbo is working at all. When pulling away from stop its really slow accelerating and makes noticable dark smoke.
Never cuts out, no warning lights, if I let it cool down, its as good as new again...
Any ideas?

Strange Performance Issues

Having the same issues. But am trying to explain to the Italian mechanic!!
You say when the car cools down, all is OK. If I turn the key off and on, all is OK also. If I stay in Cruise Control and not brake, never a loss of power. Soon as I brake, and forget the CC, loss of power, no turbo feel. Car runs with great fuel economy but cannot dare pass on the Autostrada without off and on the key.
Hope someone has an idea.

Yes i am still having the same issues but as we only really use the car for short journeys they dont materialise, the last long run i did it only happened once when i was trying to overtake uphill... i will wait til the weather warms up to have a good look at it and let you know if i find a fix
