Anyone know where these sell relatively cheap? I don't fancy paying £400+ for a set! For a 1.8 hlx

i wouldnt bother mate, just leave it as it is.Or just get some springs for it

mine for a hgt , will they fit???

£250 like new, fully adjustable

I don't think they would fit, the ones for sale on the internet are usually for 1.2, 1.6 and 1.8 and iirc the JTD and HGT's are the same too. If they fit I would probably have them :(

Jtd has 1.8 hubs & shocks but Hgt springs..... Afaik :)

JTD is oversprung and underdamped which makes for a choppy ride at low speeds and on uneven surfaces. Presumably HGT springs are stiffer and 1.8 dampers won't be brilliant for the increased weight and performance. Probably better to fit the springs (not so hard) from the older TD with decent dampers such as Konis which would give a much better ride. Just my 2ps worth. Better still get rid of the car and buy something we a better ride.
