Need help solving problem.I drive a Marea weekend sx and the rear window heater does not work.I checked the fuse its ok,checked the heater it self no cracks ,gives a 1.2 Ohms on the multimeter and voltage is pesent on the conectors.I sanded them just to be sure power gets to the heater but in the moment i switch it on power goes out.So i gues the problem is in the servise unit.Has anyone opened the unit and where can i find schematics for it???Pls help!!!

I have the exact same problem with my Marea just need to find and check the relay, heard this could be the problem. To be honest tho' its been doing this the last 8 years, just got use to it now...

So the relay is in the unit .If so i can trace vich relay is the wire is brown with black stripe .

No idea mate, just remember when I bought the wife her Marea the guy said he had same trouble and that his garage replaced the relay and it worked ok since.

Guess what just checked the wifes and now her heated rear window is not working......

Ok thank you for responding ,i'll try to open the control unit ,if i fix it i'll let you how to do it your self.

rear heater problem

I had the same problem, the sprung neutral contact got hot and melted inside causing it to stick in the full up position with no contact.
