Getting the temperature up quicker?

Morning all,

Just a quickie, is there a way to get the internal temperature hot quickly?

As it is getting colder and I am on the morning shift :( I find after my 10 mile journey (20 mins) to work the temp gauge is not even up to quarter and inside isn't very warm.
The missus' citroen gets warm in about 5mins.

The thermostat seems fine as if I drive hard the temp gauge will hit half way but normal driving will only allow it to go to quarter.

Any help appreciated

mate just fit remote engine start. a decent audio/security place will do it for £100 or less. start the car from your window and leave the heaters on full and it will be red hot for when you get into it first thing =).

try bleeding it.you might have a bit of air in the system? Af all pipes are well, then change the thermostat :)

haha, as for remote start I have a small issue whereas I haven't sorted my freezing handbrake out yet so the car would be parked in gear.
remote start will send the car down the road ;)

Will have a look at the thermostat, in the summer it sits at quarter on normal drives but in the winter its a bit lower just take forever to get there

FAIRWELL TO FIATBOO AND ALL THOSE I HAVE MET OVER THE LAST 4& A HALF YEARS.
MY MAREA IS BEING PART EX TOWARDS MY NEW MOTOR

yeah fair point if you have a freezing handbrake issue. But some remote engine start packs like the ones from clifford have some kind of box that goes onto the base of the gear leaver to stop you from starting the car if its in gear. It uses magnets or something so if the gear leaver is in gear it detects it and disables the remote transponder...

Thermostat will be stuck.

Cheap item and easy to replace.
