Hi all,

I'd like to ask whether I should keep the same 3 bolts which secure the top plate of the front suspension assembly to the body, if I get to install a strut bar? or should I change the bolts for ones with the same size but a bit longer; just to compensate for the thickness of the strut bar plate?

i'm referring to these bolts to make it clear:

thanks for your kind help.

Well I've never fitted one, but most people just keep the same bolts... even with the bar added I think you still get over 3 complete turns before tight.

It's your decision really, you must have some concerns or wouldn't have asked, if you can get longer bolts, then there shouldn't be any harm in using them..... plus there's your peace of mind that your suspension wont fall out :)

Heya, you may find you have to change them. When i fitted my sparco strut brace to my brava sx, the original bolts wouldnt fit the holes let alone screw in.

thanks for the replies

most probably I will be using the same bolts however I'm going to remove one from the two washers so as to gain few mm.

its good to have second opinions and see what others did :)
