Hi Guys I'm new to this forum, I have posted questions on ECU forums and had no replies. I'm sure there must be someone out there who can help me!
I have fitted what I believe id a MK1 1.6 16v Auto engine into a Fiat X1/9, I am having problems getting it to start. The engine came with a loom and sensors, I got an IAW 1AF. 15 ECU and sent it off to have the immobiliser bypassed/removed. I wired a switched live from the ignition switch to terminal 13 on the ECU and as far as I can tell from all the wiring diagrams I can find that should be all it needs to run. I have checked that there are goos earths on all parts of the wiring. The starter motor turns over, the idle mixture step motor energises as stage one of the relay pulls in, but for some reson stage 2 of the relay wont energise. The negative for this part of the relay is switched by the ecu. If you link it out the pump runs and you get a spark but no injectors fire, I've checked them with a meter and nothing. Do I have the right ecu for that engine. Is there an issue trying to use an auto engine, do I need any links??
Please Please help me my project has ground to a halt I've spent so much time and money I can't go back now. Thanks in anticipation.
