Hi
The pump activates in conjunction with the fuel cut out switch (located under glovebox at front of passenger door). I know this as mine stopped working - it's that electrical noise when you switch the ignition on, priming the injection system by activating the pump & sending your fuel to the engine). The breakdown mechanic diagnosed a failed pump so I had to pay the stealer £100 for a new one.....it turned out NOT to be the pump but a burned out fuel cut out switch.
