After 13 years and 104,000 miles of happy motoring my Bravo (1.8HLX) has suffered its first problem.

Last week the heater fan cut out within a couple of seconds of being turned on. Since then I have been unable to get it to work. It runs for a few seconds and then gives up the ghost.

Any suggestions to what might be the problem - I know nothing about cars, never mind how to fix them - though I could probably manage changing a fuse! :>)

Did you try leaving the car stationary reving it till the fan needs to cut in ? How is the temp ?
There are also some fuses under the bonnet right and on some models in front of the battery under a metal cap.

Or are we talking about the in car fan ?

Sorry, yes I meant the heater fan inside the car. Had a fun time this morning with the first frost of the winter.
