I noticed this morning on the way into work, that the heater was on as usual, but I noticed an antifreeze smell to the heat (very slight but noticable). What could be this problem? Is this something I need to take to the dealership with, or can I fix this problem myself. Thanks for the help!!

Is the coolant level dropping ?
The smell is inside the car ?

I haven't checked the antifreeze yet, but my wife has the car today, so I will have to wait til I get back to the house later. The smell is inside the car.

Yes, it does have A/C. I have never noticed anything wet on the floorboard. I do remember last time she took the car to ATU here, the mechanic said that the antifreeze level was very low, and I did have to fill it up quite a bit.

I am starting to think this may be a heater core issue. Where is the heater located, and can I take it out and replace it myself, or is this a major headache.

Fixed

Well, I had Stop+Go fix the sensor that was causing the fuel injector light to go off. This solved many issues. The car runs like there is no tomorrow. Apparently doing the diagnostic check showed only the temp sensor had gone bad. They also changed out the heater, and I cleaned the windows of all the antifreeze gunk that was all over all the windows on the inside of the car.

Everything is back to the way it should. The heater is great. No refilling fluids. And the ride is running, and running, and running....

Thanks for the advise guys!!
