Hi again it just get better got my oil changed yesterday and just noticed a patch of oil underneath car i looked under and saw the odd drip of oil coming out beside my sump plug so i take it the full sumps buggered.Cheapest i can find a sump for my 1.6 sx is around £80 do i need a gasket too or can it be fitted with silicone sealant. This is crap cos funds are low too.

if funds are low just clean it all up and seal it for time being..but ya best get yourself a gasket for future

Could it not just be your sump plug seeing as you just changed the oil? Did you replace it with a new plug or just screw the old one back?

Try a new plug first - miles cheaper

I always use a non-setting jointing compound when replacing sump plug
