There is alot of talk about reliability issues with fiat coupes, but is it all hype. Does it break down more times than it starts?Does it require more money than its worth to maintain? Whats the truth behind this car?

Truth is its like any car look after it and it shall look after you! :) does have its niggly problems (being generally a fiat) but doesnt every car, but generally as a rule aslong as the big jobs are complete with good history you should be onto a winner!

oh forgot to say its started first time everytime and the only time its let me down in my ownership was when the clutch slave cylinder went, was promptly changed and not a problem since.
I get about 28/29 mpg with half town half motorway driving and even got 34 mpg on a motorway run the other week!

there a bloody great car, providing you get a good one.
they DO cost more to run no matter how you look at it. belts/clutch/turbo are all in the ball park of 400 quid to sort out

that and the insurance is a little steep.

the bad thing about a coupe turbo is..once you had one you will never want to get rid of it

i wouldnt mind 1,i like them tbh. There is a really nice red 1 around my neck of the woods.

i heard that the 16v turbos were alot more reliable, so i went with it and never looked back!

when i had the 20v N/A in i had nothing but problems with it and it cost me an arm and leg to keep fixing it!

ive not had 1 problem with it since i made it! (touch wood) and ill tell u IT GETS SOME PUNISHMENT lol

ive had my car 9 months now and ive not had a bad fault yet *8touch wood*8 6 month ago the slave cylinder went so replaced it.And not long after the front pipe was blowing so got it back 2 kwik fit (as still had guarantee on when i bought the car) and they replaced it :)
Altho my ecu light is on at mo so need to find the fault...Other than that,i cant knock my car and its the 1st fiat ive had, coming from ford lol :)

How can you say no to a shape like that

we have had ours a year and a half and apart from a couple of things that needed doing when we bought it and some things that would have needed doing on any other car within that time its been brilliant. the only drawback is it guzzles oil (but not a massively more amount than an hgt) and as its on full synthetic its pretty hefty on the pocket. whenever it does need anything doing it goes down to motormech and he always gives it a thorough check over to spot any jobs that may need doing in the near future. i find its always better with these cars to get a job done before it gets to the point of it causing problems. all through the winter it was brill and we live up in the hills with pretty poor and non-gritted roads.
