as the title

i have had a cosntant bug bear with the engine light and wnated to knwo the possiblities of all issues which trigger this light..

The lsit will be pretty long, you will probably find it quicker and easier to get a diagnostics test done, this will tell you what is throwing up the fault code and why.

The first to check will be battery and earth connections. The list is endless

Take it for a diag. The light comes on for a reason and a diag will tell you the EXACT reason.

Much easier than guessing and randomly changing parts.
