It's all going wrong!!!!
lol... this is just stupid..

Got in car this am, drove 10 miles and all of the sudden the handbrake light came on.. checked handbrack, nope, that's not on.. anyway, decided to pull over and investigate. As i stopped, the light went off.. slightly purplexed, i drove off again to my destination with no more issues....

anyway, this afternoon, i got back in the car to come home and i can't shift the light at all... Unless i brake really hard with the car in neutral.. as soon as i accelerate (softly, hard or however) the light comes back on again..

Handbrake defo not on......... What the eck is all this about???

Someone tell me i am not going mad, please!!!

check your brake fluid, or your pads may need renewing!! The light isn't just for the handbrake!

Yup check fluid level.
The light going off under breaking is the fluid sloshing up over the sensor.

Could be a few things but potentially first symptom of a failing master cylinder.

easy repair but worth getting it checked asap before you end up stuck

there's likely to be oily looking stuff dripping in your engine bay if you are leaking brake/clutch fluid. Its deffo gonna need something, pads, or perhaps a wee bit of fluid, or a new master/slave cylinder. Either way, its nowt that should come to more than fifty quid
