As the title suggests,

I have set my local area connection to shared... all ok.

My 2nd network card has the default ip address of 192.168.0.1 with subnet mask of 255.255.255.0

I used to be able to just plug my 360 into the network adapter and play online no probs....

Now when i try to connect the laptop to it i get nothing just says network cable unplugged....

Tested the Laptop direct to modem and no probs i get internet....

Does anyone know where Im going wrong.....

Laptop to PC you need a Ethernet RJ45 Cross-over cable (hence the reason it says "LAN Cable Unplugged".

A normal straight-through cable will not suffice.

most likely you need a crossover cable to make this work - it may be that the previous network card had auto crossover and it worked transparently..

Thanks guys, guess it'll have to wait till tmoz now I'll get a crossover cable and give it a go... wouldn't ever of thought of that so cheers lads.
