Hi all, i've got a problem with the beast not starting. it goes when i spray a bit of easy start. I've made sure the firing order is right and have put new plugs and leads in. The fuel lines are correct and it has a new fuel pump. The fuel pump works because when the fuel lines are un hucked petrol srays out.

When the car finaly goes it ticks over ok but dies when i rev it.

Note: it had a stupid powerboost valve on which has been removed as it broke. I have had the ecu unplugged for ages to reset it incase it thought it needed the boost valve but still no joy :(

you removed the boost valve but did you put your old fuel pressure regulator back on?

wont start

what a genius! I havn't no haha. I never put the boostvalve on so i have no idea where the pressure gauge goes? does it go onto the return pipe? I'll have to go buy another one as i dont have it. Can any one tell me where to fit another boost valve as i have one spare. does this go on the return feed.
Thanks mate

just fit another boost gague it will be cheeper than buying a new pressure regulator from fiat.

im sure you can get the fitting instructions from the fse website but you will need a fuel pressure gague to set it up.

Err.. is that a fuel reg for a carb?

Either way, they don't go there. Take it to a mechanic and get it put back how it should be.

that is on wrong if you had enough fuel pressure those pipes without hose clips on would instantly blow off inder the fuel pressure.

also i notice that the vaccume pipe from the inlet manifold to the map sensor is really stretched (what have you done to it?) if its split the car wont run correctly.

?

Changed the fuel pipes today, changed the fuel and made sure every thing was plugged in right. The car started after a few atempts. It has a lumpy tick over but does now tick over, it revs and does drive now.

i think the new exhaust manifold is blowing on the head and centre. Could this have something to do with it's delaid crappy reving?

If this is the case i think we've cracked the problems
Thanks for your help guys
:D
