my brava elx only seems to remote lock and alarm when i push the button on key but only de-arms the alarm and does not open the car i have to open then by key any idea's on how to fix it

I had a similar problem on a mondeo a few years back ( totally diffrent system i i know) but in the end i found the actual door lock was sticky. Ie it would close by the "fob" but was to tight to be undone by the solenoid in the door switch , a good squirt of wd40 problem sorted. Worth a look maybe Andy.
I will think on to see if i can think of anything else.

Is it possible that the relay has gone wonky and the part that operates the locking mechanism is knackered? Might also be a wiring connection come loose.

If you know someone with the same system, try swapping the relay. That should narrow down the possibilities.

the remote locks the car and puts the alarm on but for some reason wont unlock all it will do is turn the alarm off
