Of course, nobody noticed I've not been here since July 5th - Been in Benidorm until 22nd... when my flight was delayed 6 hours, and then they flew us to East Midlands, instead of Birmingham.
I thought great... Because I only live 5 mins from East Midlands, but my car was at Birmingham, so had to get the free transfer bus all the way to Birmingham.

To add insult to injury, my Bora was dead.. had to get a boosterpack from the Airparking.... ARGH.

Anyway, next morning, I get up, on the way to work at 7:10am, and the dash is flashing at me 'Coolant Low'. I laughed and thought the dash was Bullsh*tting me...... so I got out, looked under the car and there was water p*ssing out...... FOR GOD SAKES!

Anyway, turns out it was only a clip, but I'm seriously fed up of replacing pipes and clips and connectors on my Volkswagen... All seems to be well now, after a 60p clip was fitted, but it just seems I've had a run of bad luck... Probably because we ended up all-inclusive when we only paid for self-catering. Maybe I should of said something now ;)

Anyway, I think I'm going for the change... to a Mercedes C200K Coupe. Petrol Automatic! OMG! Yes.. I'm getting old.

i'll give you £500 for your shi**y VW Ian ;)

Or you can swap for my Skoda Octavia? I know you like posh makes and all :p

WB though, we've had to suffer people mostly talking about fiat bravo's for the last 2 weeks and no VW's ! wait, thats a good thing actually. When you going on holiday again?

re

we sell clips like that at work for ag machinery might be ab bit cheaper if you are changign them?

Well to cut a long story short.

I've replaced all pipes for the Turbo system, and all clips, with proper high-strength Jubilee ones.

Now I've got a problem with the cooling system - These bloody clips keep popping off the radiator! And no I don't want to swap :)

It's just one hose after another..... but admitedly, the Charger system now works (And sounds) a treat..... Came to work this morning without any hiccups.

Maybe I'll hold out for that 123d?

LOL.

maybe you should. And not buy that grandfather merc you were talking about earlier

Shhhhhhhhhhhhh, don't give me that Rubbish.

Even if I do get 35MPG, at least it won't break down with a burst pipe or clip!

Nowt wrong with a Merc Auto anyway.

mate you want a c-class 230k like my dads its ****ing awsome lol its a manuel too lol its really nice, only mad thing about it is the nadbrake isnt a handbrake lol its a pedal down near the pedals lolyou defonatley want one, the 200k is a bit underpowered the 220d is good though lol they remap to nearly 200bhp.

The 230K is a bit heavier on fuel, more expensive to run and insure.

I'm talking about the Three-door small (but 5 seater) Coupe that mercedes do - It's a 1.8 Supercharged. (200K) I think it pushes around 165BHP standard and approx 35MPG.

My Dad has a C220Cdi (W Reg) - Nice car, automatic, but at 70MPH he's doing 2,600rpm - 600 more than my Bora.

I've a mate with a E320CDi, hadn't seen him for about 9 months and he shows up at my front door with a new vectra courtesy car - his merc was in getting it's 5th respray(!!!) and a new gearbox. He was telling me he wishes he kept the RX-7 lol.

Another mates grandad has the C180 kompressor, tis pretty rapid but it's ugly and really is for old men.
