What a memory:).......plus the fuel gauge never worked when I had it, three years later and it still doesnt. Think it was the sender unit

Asked him how much he wanted, his reply........

Would be looking to see serious buyer sort out MOT + Fuel Guage and thennget 1000 + for it minimum and that would be a steel

i've been here far too long! That was 3 years ago?
Is he suggesting he'd take 1k for it with an MOT and working fuel guage?
IS it a steal in your opinion?

well, it is (or was) very good fun in the nice weather, the bodywork is a fibre glass so no rust worries. the back was done out in silver chequer (spelling?) plate so looked nice. No wet weather gear at all, so its just what you see. The dodgy fuel gauge I got around by carrying a plastic fuel can just in case, but also kept an eye on the milage and kept topping it up every 100 miles or so, so never ran out. You do actually feel quite cool just sliding out the frame at the shops:). A local garage I took it too reckoned it would be quite difficult to fix the fuel sender as the jeep is made up of all differant bits and thats why I never bothered.

If he was to fix the sender and give it a full mot I would think its a fair price for great summer fun, trips to the seaside ect.

Thinking back, the bonnet WAS badly glazed and needed a respay job, cant tell from the pics if he has done it or not.
