i have a yellow light that looks a little like an engine flashing on my dashboard just above where the oil warning light is. I have no manual so can anyone tell me what it is?

Sounds like it's the engine management light.

Not sure what could cause it, but possible source may be the ECU.. hopefully a few of the experts can chime in for a better answer.

A loose battery connection can cause this. A poor battery earth connection. sometimes sends you speedo all over the place as well
