After putting it off and putting it off decided to mesh the bumper and install my fogs yesterday. My impetus was the fact the new tyre i got fitted was catching my abarth bumper (due to the bird bumping the car and breaking fixings etc)

Anyway, got to work, screws were snapping in half when i was removing them and mounts had broken / bent...it was such a pain. Also the fact that halfrauds scored 30 quid out of me for mesh i couldnt cut really narked me! i was going mad!

As it happens, today went alot beeter. Dads mate lent me some cutters that cut the mesh easily and as i knew how to get the bumper off, it was quite easy.

Ive also been doing a few other niggles like replacing bulbs and fitted my abarth gearknob!

Has been a weekend full of bravo! will get pics up when photo bucket mails me my forgotten password!

Hi, thanks for the comments!
I made the fiat badge myself, masked off silver bits and sprayed away!

The mesh was from halfords and was tough as hell, ive attached it with cable ties rather than glue etc.

Dont suppose anyone has an air intake / feed plastic thingy spare, discovered the mounts had broken on mine so its rattlin about!

Many thanks

thats the very mesh my black HLX had. its tough as heck to cut, being stainless steel, and i found it difficult to mount. couple of screws, and a bunch of sikaflex type stuff did it in the end. been on for 2 years.

looks good. my bonnet grille was meshed the same.
