Ok, still got this problem happening wondered if anyone has any new insight into it.

What componants can condensation in the engine bay cause problems for. I am getting a power inconsistency when i'm going at about 20mph having started from cold if it has been raining overnight.

any thoughts?

cheers

ed

hmmm, rules out damp rising I suppose.

does this go once the cars warmed up though?

My bravo used to do this when parked on a slight gradient on the grass after it had rained and after a good hard thrashing it went. just ran like crap for about 10 mins.

yeah as soon as the car is warm and (i assume) the condensation has evaporated the car runs beautifully. This problem only affects me for about 30-40 seconds.
it sometimes causes a flashing eodbms light but nothing is recorded in the log (very frustrating!)

Do you loose cooling liquid and that light whet you are talking about, is it on the dash - sorry cant get all UK way of expressing ;)

hey sven, no i'm not losing any coolant, and the light i am talking about is indeed on the dashboard. it is the warning light associated with the ECS it flashes or is solid when the car is not performing properly and might be producing higher levels of emissions.

For me it is flashing, which indicates a less serious problem.

Sounds like one or more of you plugs are either missfiering (they can do that even they are new), have the wrong thermic level (dunno the right UK therm), or the leads loose contact.

CAn you find the light on the pic
