Hi guys, glad I found this site, it's already helped me fix the dodgy rear screen washer on the T reg Brava I just bought.

This may be a daft question so please forgive me....

The lcds which display mileage/trips and also those below which show which gear/driving mode you're in are a black background with clear digits. I find them quite hard to see in daylight, and they don't appear to be backlit when the headlamps are on. Before I go stripping the dash to replace any bulbs, can anyone confirm for me that they are supposed to be backlit in the first place. If one was lit but the other not I'd already know, but since they're both dark there's a possibility they may be meant to be that way.

im guessing you mean the small lcd at the bottoms of the speedos yeah if so have you tried using the dimmer switch if not but it does illuminate

Thanks. The dimmer works on the speedo etc but there's no lights on the lcd readouts. Now I know they're SUPPOSED to light up it's time to strip the dash....
