Driver side rear light units?!

Hi everyone,

New here. Bought a 01' 1.2 Bravo back in January, having fallen in love with them way back in, er...01', when my old man had one as a hire car.

Many thanks for the superb audio section of this website, I bought the Sony T69 autochanger after visiting here back in Feb. Its sat happily under my rear seats as per the info I gained from the great installation advice available here. So thanks!

My question - My driver side brake light unit has a big hole in it after what I can only assume was someones tail hitch smacked into it (no other marks or damage in the surrounding area thankfully!). I've tried ebay for about a month or so at least. For some reason it seems that the ones on there are always passenger side! Very annoying! Either that or I find a driver side unit, buts its insanely priced compared with the passenger ones. I suppose its dependant on what you want to spend, and if I wanted to spend over 50 quid on it I would, but they seem to be available for a lot less, its just finding them!

So, just wondered if anyone had any pointers to slightly cheaper sources!

Also, I see them often listed as 96-99', and 99-02'. But they look much the same. Is there a fitting difference?

Thanks for any advice guys.

Best regards,

Al.

Keep an eye out on here, people quite regularly break Bravo's, so just wait for someone to put a thread up. That will be your cheapest option.

As for the 95-99 and 99-02, that is the Mk1 and Mk2 lights, the Mk2 ones are tinted, so are noticeably darker than the Mk1 lights.

If you get one of each it looks quite odd!

HTH.
