As above i have a friend that after we cleaned his computer out of allsorts of junk and run anti virus and anti spyware programs is running much better and performing the way it should.
Only one little problem his home page.
He wants to use Tiscali.co.uk for his home page but whenever we set it and make sure it's set in the net options list the next time he goes online his homepage has changed to MSN.com???
Anyone have any ideas why?
Also one other thing what is DUMPREG.EXE
I noticed this was useing his CPU a lot and not just once but running 3-4 times at the same time till it had used 100% of his processor?
Anyone know what these things are and how to sort them??

dumprep.exe forms a part of Microsoft Windows XP (and later versions), in-built fault logging software. Upon serious errors this program will write the details to a text file and request the information be sent to Microsoft. This program is a non-essential system process, and is installed for third party use.

If you cant close it from Taskmanager, try running 'msconfig' (without quotes) om the run option in the start menu, then check the startup tab and see if its in there, if so, untick it and restart.
