The ABS warning light has come on and went to Fiat for a computer diagnostic, found that the ABS pump was faulty and was quoted a massive amount by the dealer. Just wondering, does anyone know if there is a way to turn off the warning light as I don't mind not having ABS or does anyone has a pump to offer at a good price?

apparently to turn the ABS light off you have to remove the led bulb which requires removeing the dashboard!

I have read somewhere in this forum before that it is not possible to remove the led from the dashboard, is that true? Has anyone done it before?

even if you do that..come mot time it will fail, because the new mot .states what should come on and off when ignition is live.

Go and get it plugged in at a local garage, mine showed up as abs pump malfunction as well but at the same time i had a sensor gone. i changed the sensor and the light never came back on. the problem with all this fancy electronics is that if one part of the abs shows up as faulty, the rest of it starts playing up because its not recieving the right signals from the faulty sensor. Worth a look in
