Ok heres the problem.

My uncle has a Fiat Marea TD75 1998. Problem is that there is too much black smoke. I only could think of MAF or EGR from my little knowladge. Also he says when he turns on air con the car does not pull very well.

Any ideas? Some mechanic here told him to change injectors.

So any ideas what could it be?

The 75 dont have either a MAF, or EGR.
How old are the filters, and he should use a diesel aditive for a while.
Also - the car has 75hp-air con will use around 15% of its power-so calculate it

Filters? I dont know. Maybe a few months. I think he changed them when he bought the car.

Aircon takes power did not know that.

lol, what did you expect, it is connected via the aux belt to the engine - the compressor must use power, that is why the revs drop when you turn it on

Yes, it is diesel. Mine in diesel too but it doenst smoke.

My car really doesnt smoke. I have tested it with help of a few friends. Had a friend behind me after I was in 4000-5000 rpm and no black smoke just the regular invisible one

has the air filter been changed recently, and what is the fuel consumption like ?..
