The other day my ABS light decided to come on, I was hoping it was just the light but I tested my breaks and started the slide, a few hours later the light had gone off and my ABS were working again, then after a few mins of driving it came back on.    Today its fine, no light and ABS works great.
Anyone got any ideas what this could be??
I did feel a sort of snag/bump, like a little stone could of been under one of the pads, the pedal just felt odd for a second, and it were about 20 seconds later that the light came on, this happend both times the light came on

One of the sensors lost its signal - if it apears again, you will have to do a check on them

I had that, what it was in the end the front right sensor wire had come away from the body and was wearing on the auxillary drivebelt, ended up (the light) going on and off and on again and in the end it stayed on. worth checking down by the belt to see if its loose.

like chris said it will be a dodgy wire somewhere its quite rare for a sensor to go wrong.
