i recently sold my brothers 1.6 bravo to a mate for £50 knowing it needed work doing to it and he no longer wanted it.

it drives and has MOT etc etc... but my mate can't fix one last problem and hoped someone on here might help

when he drives it sometimes it feels like it looses power.... then finds it again....

the injectors are only 4 months old - its had a Diognostic and came back fine.... unsure what else it can be......?

Suggestions?

Is it a case of you change gear and suddenly it goes totally flat for a few seconds?

it seems to go dead - but i wouldn't say for as long as a second....... it feels like a small judder then it'll be fine for a bit and then happen again...

no lights on the dash either....

Only while accelerating? Only while at steady speed? Both?

So it just misses a few beats and then picks up again?

Why were the injectors changed and who did them?

it would seem so...

the injectors where changed because the light came on and two of them where fooked so my brother replaced the whole rack for 780 at our local Wentane Fiat dealer.....

How often does it do it?

I'd go over EVERY connector and re-seat them (remove and replace each one in turn). Coil pack, sensors, everything.

Might also be worth checking the coilpack.

How is the MPG?

does it every journey but it might do it once.... then not the rest of the joureny - or it might do it every couple of mins....

MPG same as it's ever been really - just annoying loosing power

i'll tell him to check those items...

Intermittent problems are the worst.

Check all the connectors and give all the relays a wiggle. It sounds as if the ECU is loosing sync momentarily.
