Can anyone help? My clutch release bearing has gone on my 1.4S and it makes that springy ssshhhhh noise. Its been like that for a few months. Do I have to fix this? Dont think it is effecting the drive or gear change at all. How much will it cost if i need repairs?

You will need a new clutch kit if the bearing has gone.

That doesnt sound cheap. can u give me an approximite? how long more can i drive with it broken?

Suppose thats not too bad. Is that a quote from a fiat garage? i thought it would be a 4figure number. Do you think it is making my gear changes jumpier (especially when cold) cuz sumtimes its embarrasingly bad and need to lift my foot of clutch really slowly!

my car does this mate i had a gearbox fitted from scrappy and ever since it has made that exact noise and my gear changes seem awful plus changing into first is a nightmare
