As you are all awear from previous posts and from seeing the car actually go... My 105JTD has had a re-map from Angel Tuning.
The re-map improved acceleration through all gears and helps the old girl upto 60mph over 2.5secs quicker than standard.
It's not just the increase to 60mhp tho that matters, the drivability of the car is greatly improved with far more power upto 5k revs ensuring overtaking is done quickly & safely without the need to change gear during overtaking.
Now it has had the NEW re-map... during the test 0-60 there didn't seem any difference BUT the drive home showed what improvements have been made.
The car now doesn't get to 2.5k revs and suddenly gets bags of power which undoubtedly puts increased strain on the clutch/drive chain etc.
Insted you get a lovely constant increase in power all the way upto 5k revs.
Yes there is the same surge of power at 2.5k when the turbo comes in but it is far more controlled and smoother resulting in a far more pleasent drive.
Really REALLY impressed with this new map, if I hadn't been in the tests i'd say it feels slower but there is no difference it's just a lot more smoother.
To conclude.... If you are in any doubt that a re-map isn't worth it, then come try my car.
If you want a re-map that gives you the feeling that u've just been kicked up the arse @ 2.5k rpm request the old re-map.
If you love a smooth ride but still like the idea of increased power the New re-map is fantastic PLUS!!!! it doesn't produce any where near as much black smoke on my car now.... a cheer will be heard across the land now from all BOO members who have ever followed me
Nige didn't ask me to tell you about this map, he didn't even have to put this new map on my car but as a huge thank you I thought it was only right to tell you how happy I am now.
