Ok, getting my brembos in a couple weeks, just want to know what is needed for the brakelines, as oviously they are different to the HGT's at the caliper itself.

Will they still mate up to each other?? what will I need to replace??

Cheers

Nathan

I'd have thought that standard fitment Coupe 20VT items would do the job. Be they new Fiat ones or the OMP/Goodridge stuff you get on eBay.
Im sure Ash will clear this up when he see's the your post.

Ben.

you can use the hgt ones they should be just about long enough

dont buy coupe ones they will be too short

as for goodridge give them a ring as nico has specked up some brake lines for the hgt for his conversion they should have them on their computer system and be able to send them out no probs.

You could get stainless steel ones from Ian @ goodridge if you like. I did do a spec for some to suit the brembo conversion that dispensed with the rigid s-bend section that the coupe has. I also added the spec for the second section for the rears he did not have in his listings previously.

Rather than just have the brake line sticking straight out from the Brembo caliper- the way it would with a striaght connection (I thought this might create wear if the hose rubbed on full lock)I also improved it by spec'in a 90 degree bend at the end that attaches to the caliper.

Actually!! (light bulb appears) I still have a set of these spare cos i never did the conversion on my brothers (since he wrapped his bravo round a lampost! R.I.P 'Max').
I havn't a clue what I paid for them, nor what Ian would charge for a freash set, but IF i can find em, they're yours for 30 squid if u like (I've got loads of stuff I just can't be arsed to find let alone flog). You should see the mess I live in!

I will add though, for all my efforts, at the end of the day, I have had my brembos fitted with my custom spec front hoses as well as a set I ordered to replace my stock ones originally, and actually, the stock hose will not rub even though it does stick out a bit from the Brembo caliper, so for anyone considering this conversion, I would not be afraid to use stock HGT ones if you want to save some money (I think the stock rubber fiat variety are about 15 for a pair).

nico i want your braided ones now! lol

That speedmerchant Ash has already been onto me Nathan, so he's got dibs on that spare assuming i can find em. I can give you Ians no. tho if you wana order some stock hgt stainless. I'd certainly suggest you opt for the stainless steel fittings too ('C' in the listings I think - the online listings are a bit confusing)
