Can anyone help?

Car wouldn't start recent cold morning.
RAC came out, said wrong battery fitted, & starter motor taking twice as much current from the underpowered battery as it should.

So, I've replaced battery with new one of correct rating, and fitted a replacement starter motor from breaker.

Still won't start - fuel is getting through, spark is there, engine turns over simply will not fire.

Is disconnecting battery likely to have affected immobiliser, and if so, how can I rectify it?

Any other suggestions?

Any advice appreciated! :)

just a thought, but have you checked the 'fire prevention' button, its either under your passenger seat, or in the passenger footwell area. If its popped up, it will cut fuel, so press it down.

If you got fuel, a spark, and engine turns the engine will start.
Have you looked at the camshaft for turning the bottom of the engine, may turn but is it turning the camshaft EG is the cam belt ok?
If the camshaft does not turn, no start :(

all checked and all appears as it should be, except for it not starting, but thanks for suggestions.

Does the code light go out?

And how can a starter take twice as much current as it should from an underpowered battery? Makes no sense.

yes, code light goes out.

not sure re current starter motor taking, it's just what rac told me.
