hi, was wondering if anyone knows why a couple of my hgt sparkplugs have been filling up with oi, enough to cover the entire plug. Could this have been anything to do with driving around with quite a substantial hole in the exhaust. this has now been replaced, there are some other mods on the car aswell, could this be the cause? some help would be good, cheers folks.

I changed the spark plugs on my HGT not so long ago and had oil in a couple of mine.

I think it is a small fault with the HGT due to the fact that the oil filler it directly above the plugs. This means if you miss with the oil, it gets under the engine cover and into the holes.

Can't say for defo if that what it is but could be a possible cause.

Other than that go with Tom suggestions.

cheers for gettin back to me. the car doesnt smoke at all and i cant really see any other problems with it. the mods are a BMC CDA cold air induction, ragazzon cat-back and its been chipped.

Is the oil ON the spark plug, or on the thread only ?
