I have fully comp insurance and my sunroof is leaking, according to the statement from their website below they cover windscreen and windows

"Windscreen

If your windscreen or the windows of your car have been damaged please call our freephone Glassline:

Call 0800 318084

Our Glass Service will select a repairer, from our nation-wide network of approved companies, who will organise to have your windscreen or window replaced or repaired."

Will this include any repairs to the sunroof as it is a "window!"

I know it's a longshot but worth a try???

its an extra that covers your front screen against stone chips. It only covers the one screen as far as i know.

Insurance - Glass Cover

Hi there
I used to work in Insurance for 10 years .. I can only comment for who I used to work for but the glass cover is generally for any fixed glass in the vehicle eg: windows, sunroof etc. It doesnt cover for any leaks etc its purely just for damage to the glass or broken. Most policies also cover for any scratches to the bodywork that the breaking of the glass caused.

Hope this helps!

Lou

Re: Insurance - Glass Cover

didn't you say a wee accident cracked your sunroof? ;)
wont affect your no-claims bonus either.

Re: Insurance - Glass Cover

What I was thinking was...accidentally get a crack in the sunroof glass and get it repaired and after repair, blame the people who replace the glass for water comming through so they would be responsible for repairing it...Wink Wink.

Anyway i think i've sorted my leak now anyway!
