Hi Chaps,

Bit of a moan about Adrian Flux, they were the cheapsest by far but.....

They havent sent me a cover note even though i insisted i needed it to tax my car eventually recieved it by email, after several phone calls, which the post office questioned before accepting it.

Then this morning they have sent me a load of forms to list all my mods, mileage, chassis no proof of boo membership etc, even though i gave them all of the info over the phone!

I wasnt informed of this when i agreed to there quotation and for the sake of 400quid cheaper im finding it a load of hassle god help me if i have to make a claim!!!

Anyway i best get them filled out because if they havent recieved them by the 1st November there going to cancell my insurance

Not Impressed :(

that is normal. i had to do but next year you wont have to

smee

Did yours go down Smee?Your premium that is?and why do you have to tell the, your mileage?

I am insured with adrian flux, and when I had to make a claim, I found out that they are NOT the insurance company but only a broker. They hadnt informed the insurance comapny of my change of car, although they had sent me back a correct cover note, it took nearly two weeks to sort that out before the claim could even be processed

If you have already signed to be with adrian flux then don't cancel it.

I cancelled mine and ended up having to pay up the rest of the years premium even tho I cancelled (about £700).

Tried to get out og it but got threatened with court letters bla bla bla so ended up paying it.

Would never go there again if it was the last company on earth and would never never never recomend them to anyone. Just 1 big waste of space.

Should have gone to Elephant.co.uk

Cheapest I have ever found upto now and always helpful.

They have done nothing but **** me off and ive only been with them a month!

Should have chose elephant werent that much more my mother always says "cheapest is not always best" think she is spot on in this case!

never go to elephant there crap. i went there and they went through all the questions told them everything and it was cheaper. went to go pay and at the last min he goes in teh even of a crash we put ur car back to standard and will not replace the mods. hmm COCK FACE THATS THE POINT OF INSURANCE....... i never had one problem with adrian flux. and my mate says if u cancle 3 months in to the policy u only pay for 3 months worth.

yes i had to tell them my millage but i have unlimited millage cover. so when renewal came i honestly didnt do a thing.

adrian flux is a broker but i tell u this if u had to make a claim its will be a lot quicker than most others. infact the only company i know that are quicker is eagle star / zurich.but they r expensive.

i said it before and ill say it again. if u drive a modified car. i beg u to go with adrian flux. u will not find any 1 cheaper that WILL replace every mod to ur car.

Smee,

Most insurance companies will only put your car back to standard. Not many will replace the mods you have put on so you cant blame elephant for that.

You will find adrian flux will do exactly the same.

Also Adrain flux have a percentage sceme to how much you have to pay if you cancel, which is alot more than 3 mths for cancelling at 3 mths.

Trust Me, they f**ked me good and proper with that one.

@Smee well im gonna stick it out with adrian flux for this year at least on your reccomendation!

One question did your unlimited mileage cost you more on premium?ive only done mine for 6000 but would prefer unlimited is this likely to cost me more?

pass mate. mt mate worked there so gave me the best he could was a bit dodgy like. should of been 2k but he got an underwritter to put it through at 1300 dunno who he shagged to get that.

how many miles u reckon u will do a year. then add 50% thats wat i do. to cover any emergencys. also have u acrually started the policy yet. if not call elephant and get a quote. then get it faxed over. WITH unlimited miles on it. then fax this to adrian flux. its like a proof that wat u say is true and they usually sort things out.

DO NOT RENEW with adrian flux. the renew department are cocks. call up with a week to go and say u want to collect ur no claims. then leave it a couple of days. then call up and get a new qoute. it should be cheaper.

any changes made to the policy cost £15 per go. so if u want to change it it will cost u £15 minimum. its just the office charges. and it pisses u off. especially when ur car gets something new everymonth. :(

i would personally. call up and try to get unlimited OR 15 - 20k if u do more than 20k then ur motoring. all car shows and running about last year was about 18k

15 - 20k is more than enough last couple of years ive done 10 and thats with my car being off the road for half of the year!

Will call them now!

@Smee i am unlimited even though i gave a estimated mileage per year :) must be same for everyone.

Don't fret about the cancellation letters

I had flux sending me those mod forms for months, accompanied by a letter saying they were guna cancel my insurance, LOL. They kept requesting documentation to support by ncb, but each time they sent me the letter and mods forms, I just added my latest mods and said I could not find my past insurance details just yet, and they gave me an extention. i went on like this for over 4 months till finally gave em what they were after, and mods were complete :)
